The Luck Dragon. A Chinese dragon stands for luck, piece, and
longevity. The celestial dragon is thought to carry the palaces of
Gods on its back and is able to channel wind and rain in order
to help provide bountiful harvests for farmers, therefore
ensuring the well-being of mankind.
“Luckdragons are creatures of air, warmth and pure joy.
Despite their great size, they are as light as a summer cloud, and
consequently need no wings to fl y. They swim in the air of heaven
as fi sh swim in water. Seen from earth, they look like slow fl ashes
of lightning. The most amazing thing about them is their song.
Their voice sounds like the golden note of a large bell, and when
they speak softly the bell seems to be ringing in the distance.
Anyone who has heard this sound will remember it as long as
they live and will even tell their grandchildren about it.”
